Jagan to meet Sonia over quota for Muslims

Hyderabad, Feb 08: Congress MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy today said he would meet party President Sonia Gandhi, if necessary, to ensure that reservations are provided to Muslims in the state.

"We will meet Madam Sonia Gandhi, if necessary, for the purpose. The Congress government would see that justice is done to minorities if by getting a Constitutional amendment," he told reporters tonight in the wake of the Andhra Pradesh High Court setting aside the law on reservation for Muslims.

Asserting that quota for Muslims was very dear to his father Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, Jagan said he would strive for realising the ideals and goals of the late Chief Minister.

State Congress President D Srinivas also said the ruling party is committed to providing reservation to Muslims.

Meanwhile, opposition parties alleged the High Court's judgement indicated "failure" of the Congress government in the state.

"The reservation was hurriedly brought before elections by the Congress government for political gains. They have no sincerity. Hence, this decision by the High Court," TRS MLA T Harish Rao said.

CPI State Secretary K Narayana said the Andhra Pradesh government should try to obtain a stay on the High Court verdict and also put pressure on the Centre for bringing about a Constitutional amendment.

Meet Sonia to talk what? This is all BS to impress their minions at their local villages and towns. In reality Jagan and other congress folks don't talk to Sonia they just listen. Most probably Jagan or anybody will just go to Delhi and handover letter to the personal secretary to Madam Sonia. This is all just to fool people. May be we are expecting too high, we don't have the breed of leaders just the followers. If Jagan was a true leader by now he would have inherited his fathers legacy.

These all are vote bank politics, congess doesnt want to loose muslim votes they are trying in all aspects even they will give indian citizenship for a pakisthan terrorist. Instead of removing reservation they are adding new reservations. if we vote for congress or CPI(M) like this then there we be no india it will merge into Pakisthan. see these congress are against to MNS in mumbay and how they can support telangana.
