 Hyderabad, Feb 8: Tension prevailed in the Jawahar Nagar area of Alwal when some miscreants demolished and burnt the statue of the late Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.
TDP leaders and cadres who knew about it on Friday morning came to the spot in large numbers and held a protest demonstration. They raised slogans demanding punishment to the miscreants. Police who arrived at the scene, convinced the TDP leaders that they would investigate and arrest the culprits. Party chief Chandra Babu Naidu touring the Guntur district was informed about the incident. Naidu strongly condemned the mindless act.
