 Hyderabad, Feb 8: Real Star Sri Hari met the YSR Congress president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy in the Chanchalguda jail on Friday and later announced his decision to join his party.
Sri Hari met Jagan in the afternoon, during the Mulakhat time.
Speaking to the media later, he said he intended to join the YSR Congress and asserted that he would prove to be Sher Khan (his character in the super hit movie Maga Dheera) even in politics. He said he would contest the next elections.
Dwarampudi Chandrasekhara Reddy, Congress MLA of Kakinada in East Godavari district has also met Jagan on Friday. It is learnt that he and Sri Hari had discussed about when to join the party and other formalities like their constituencies.
Though Dwarampudi was elected as Congress MLA, he has been a loyalist of the late Chief Minister Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. He has been supporting Jagan ever since he launched his party. However, when the TDP moved a no-confidence motion against the government, he backed out and supported the government. Now he is once again supporting Jagan and had met YSR Congress honorary president Vijayamma several times in the recent past.
As Sri Hari is a Hyderabadi, his joining would boost the morale of the YSR Congress in the Telangana region, hopes the party leadership.
