3500 surveillance cameras in Hyd
  Hyderabad, Feb 23: The State Government has decided to install 3500 surveillance cameras in sensitive and crowded areas in Hyderabad and Cyberabad jurisdiction at an estimated cost of Rs.450 crores.

This was disclosed by Home Minister Sabita Indra Reddy to media after a high-level meeting was held by Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy with senior police officers. She said the Chief Minister had directed that the installation of the cameras should be completed within three months.

The Home Minister said that the intelligence wing of the state police has been working round the clock since the twin blasts in Dilsukhnagar and assisting the NIA by gathering and providing important inputs. She said that the investigating authorities have gathered various clues and was confident that the perpetrators of the blasts would be identified and traced shortly.
