According to latest information Anushka was offered the role of Bollywood hit 'Kahaani' but she couldn't provide dates as she already gave dates to Gunasekar's 'Rudrama Devi'.
So she lost the golden opportunity to star in 'Kahaani' remake under Sekhar Kammula direction which now fell under Nayanatara laps. Anushka even expressed her sadness at losing the offer in a function. As such Yandamuri Virendranath is arranging script for the film.
