Story |
 Akshaye plays Shekhar, the idealistic associate director who wants to make it big and direct his own film; while Arshad is the crook Raju, who will do anything to be seen, even betray his closest relationships. The director also throws in a circus-like cast of ‘character actors’ making them seem like imbeciles who simply follow the two leads around without their own opinions and continue self-sacrificing at every step. Last, but not the least, is Amrita Rao who has been made into a walking and talking Barbie Doll who is paraded around the movie.

Performance |
 Chunky Pandey is good in his role as Guru Kapoor, the acting coach, and brings light into this otherwise dull role. Akshaye is satisfactory, but inconsistent. Theatre actor Siddharth Randeria seems wasted in his role as the landlord; even as he ploughs on to make it seem credible. Amrita needs acting classes as she is shrill. A new makeup team wouldn’t hurt either.

 It’s a wild goose chase around nondescript chawls in Mumbai, picturesque locations in Thailand, and dancing atop yachts and platforms as Arshad Warsi and Akshaye Khanna tear each other from limb to limb to climb up the success ladder in Bollywood. The ideal question to ask at this point would be, so who won; the hare or the tortoise? Correct answer: The tortoise always wins. It just takes director Neeraj Vora a long time to arrive at this conclusion.

Analysis |
 But what holds this otherwise insufferable movie together is Arshad Warsi. In his dark but comic portrayal as the actor so desperate to get famous that he is willing to go to any lengths, he still manages to exude charm into the role. Go only to see the two actors butt heads into each other over some witty repartee in the first half.
