Story

Anjaneyulu ( Ravi Teja) is a happy go lucky brave man who works for a TV channel. His parents Murthy (Nasser) and Lakshmi (Vinaya) pampers him a lot and Anjaneyulu  loves them dearly. One day Anjaneyulu bumps into Anjali ( Nayantara) and it is a love at first sight. Anjaneyulu tries to woo her with antics.

Story takes a twist when Anjaneyulu parents die in a bus accident.  However,  Anjaneyula  discovers that this accident was intentional and it is due to deed of the evil gang  Bada (Sonu Sood) along with his gang Kota, Jaya Prakash Reddy and Govt officials. Anjaneyulu decides to take the revenge and at the same time do the justice to his job.

What is his profession and how he succeeded in taking the revenge is the rest of the story.

Performance

Ravi Teja excels in the routine role again. All of his characters in previous movies are of same type and audience are still watching him play same type of character again and again. As usual his comic timing, witty one-liners and fight sequences enthralls audience. But Ravi Teja has to be careful and try something new before audience fed up with monotonous action.

Nayantara has a limited role and used for love track and add glamour to the film. But she lost charm and looked withered. Definitely she is not the one audience excepted from her.

Sonu Sood gets a lot of build up but in the end he does not come across as the mighty villain as he is supposed to be. Kota appears in a breif role and so does Prakash Raj. Jayaprakash Reddy appears in yet another routine role.Brahmanadam gets a rather lengthy role as creative head Prabhakar and he manages to raise laughter. Brahmaji plays an investigative TV journalist. Nasser plays the affectionate role of father to Ravi Teja. The rest of the star cast is okay.

Technical

Director Parasuram has handled the script very well. He could have chosen a different plot instead of repetitive one for the revenge.  He has flair for comedy and has conveyed it in the right mode. He could have focused a bit more on the technical side like cinematography, Music etc.

The dialogues were superb with real wit and sensible meaning. Thomas s background score was OK but the songs were not upto the mark. None of the songs are catchy. Cinematography by Ravindra Babu is okay.Editing was standard and the costumes, art department did their job.

Analysis

Anajaenyulu is a trademark Ravi Teja movie with all commercial elements. There is romance, action, comedy, sentiment, melodrama in good proportions for every section of audience. First half of the movie finish in a no time while second half is a lag. The screenplay is not tight and the director at times falters in ensuring a smooth flow and this affects the second half of the film.

Still, Anajeneyulu ends up as a pakka comercial entertainer that can be watched for timepass
