Story

When a successful actor meets with a successful director for a movie, obviously the expectations will be on roof top. Victory Venkatesh  is paired with Trisha for the second time for  ‘Namo Venkatesha’  in the direction of Srinu Vytla. Srinu Vytla is riding on success streak with ‘Dhee’, ‘Ready’ and ‘ King’ while Venky is not so lucky with his previous three films ‘Tulasi’, ‘Chintakayala Ravi’ and ‘Eenadu’. Both Venkatesh and Srinu Vytla excel in comedy genre movies, and it is obvious that audience expecte a full length non- stop comedy from their combination.

Venkataramana ( Venkatesh) a ventriloquist by profession and unmarried. Even though age is creeping on him, he doesn’t want to be compromised and waiting for a perfect girl . Venkatesh along with his troop visits Paris to entertain Telugu’s in Paris on the invitation of Europe Telugu Association. He meets Paris Prasad ( Brahmanandam), an event manager who is a big manipulator. He is good at manipulating the things for his advantage.

Finally, Venkataramana finds his dream girl in Pooja ( Trisha), who is a relative of Paris Prasad. Venkataramana loves her and want to settle in life with her. Knowing this, Paris Prasad asks Pooja to reciprocate positively  so that Prasad will get advantage in stage shows. Pooja who actually in love with Aakash  continues to pretend that she is in love with  Venkataraana till she  fell for Venkataramana seriously.

On the other side, Pooja’s father a factionist in Rayalaseema fixes her marriage with her Bawa much to her dislike. She is forced to return to India from Paris. Rest of the story  is how Venkataramana and Co rescues Pooja.

Performance

Venkatesh is at his usual best in comedy scenes. He does the role with ease and perfection as if the role is routine for him. His action in emotional scenes is also worth mentioning. He did some home work to become ventriloquist.

Trisha looked glamorous. But she doesn’t have much to perform. Brahmanandam suited well in Paris Prasad character. But his comedy is routine and much more expected out of his role.  Ali appears in a brief role could evoke some laughs. Nothing much for the rest of comedians in the troop.

Jaya Prakash Reddy is as usual gave his best. Master Bharath also performed well. MS Narayana, Dharmavarapu and other star cast justified their roles.

Technical

Srinu Vytla who is known for making the non-stop comedy entertainer tried his best to churn laughs with hero and star comedians. He is successful in generating the comedy in parches. Most of the scenes are repetitive from his previous movies and are predictable. His screenplay is off track towards the climax. Bharath and Brahmanandam role wasn’t utilized for the best of his ability.

Music by Devisri Prasad is good. Dialogues which are very important for any comedy movie are written by Chntapally Ramana  are good. Cinematography by Prasad is commendable. His songs picturisation in Iceland is very eye catching. No novelty in Gopi Mohan story. Editing is apt.Production values are high.

Analysis

‘Namo Venkatesha’  is a neat family entertainer from Srinu Vytla. If you have not seen any of his recent films, you will enjoy the movie. Otherwise, you feel like you already saw the movie. His screenplay, direction became stereotype, monotonous respectively.

Srinu Vytla shoul d have avoided the script of hero, heroine meeting abroad and coming back to India for climax. Same script is used in over and over in Tollywood movies in recent past. It is time for Venkatesh and Srinu Vytla come out from their comfort zone and  try something new and different.

Finally, all is well but not enough entertainment.
