Rasamayi Bala Kishan whose recent film has failed to get critical acclaim, has reportedly ignored the cuts imposed by the censor board and released his film ‘Jai Telangana’ with several objectionable dialogues and references.
According to media reports, the film has references to Rajasekhara Reddy, Chandrababu Naidu, Marri Chenna Reddy, Chiranjeevi, Lagadapati Rajagopal, N T Rama Rao and Kasu Brahmananda Reddy. It has objectionable references as these leaders were shown as sinners in Yama Loka. N T Rama Rao was referred to in the film as Vama Rao, YSR as Smile Reddy, Lagadapati as Jagadapati and Marri Chenna Reddy as Cherry. The censor board has directed the producers to remove the reference ‘Rayalaseema Papulu (Rayalaseema Sinners). But it was not done. The censor board also directed that references to the Sri Krishna committee and the dialogue “Seemandhra gallu galeezu gaallu”
(seemandhra people are dirty rogues). Bala Kishan chose to ignore this direction also. Reports say that the film is technically amateurish.
There is a way to even express criticism artistically. Bala Kishan has apparently not done it that way and instead presented what he wanted to, in a rather crude manner. On the other hand by violating the directions of the censor board, he might create lot of problems for himself and his film.
