Bhopal, Jan 29: A minor girl in Madhya Pradesh's Khargaon district was raped and then set afire when she threatened to inform the authorities, police said. She died in hospital Sunday.
The Class 10 student was raped by her neighbour, Rajendra Yadavm when she was alone at her house in Salakhedi village Friday.
The 15-year-old girl was referred to MY Hospital, Indore where she succumbed to her injuries Sunday.
"The girl sustained over ninety percent burns and doctors could not save her. We have arrested the accused," said Additional Superintendent of Police S.S. Chouhan.
