Kadapa, Feb 2: A cine financier has reportedly committed suicide along with his pregnant wife in this district, by consuming poison.

According to police, Balaji, 30, and his wife Bharati, 28, have committed suicide by consuming poison in their house at Kotta Madhavaram, 30 km from here. Balaji has been taking money on low rate of interest from locals and was lending it to the film producers on high interest.

Police suspect that Balaji might have failed to repay the debts as the film producers had not repaid. As there was immense pressure from the local lenders for repayment, the couple had decided to end their lives. The couple has a four-year-old daughter. Bharati was pregnant when she took to the extreme step.
