London, Feb 20: British women are hoarding 156 million bras they don’t wear, new research has revealed.

The average female owns nine bras, but more than half gather dust in drawers.

The biggest reason for the pile up was because their bras were uncomfortable, according to a poll of 2,000 by Sweatshop, the running specialists, who are launching a sports bra fitting service, the Daily Express reported.

One in 10 did not know their size, while one in three had not been measured.

“It’s vital to be measured, especially if you are active or play sport,” Sweatshop’s Amanda Brasher said.
