London, Feb 16: Thursday mornings are the best time of the week for making love, researchers say.

According to a London School of Economics study, natural cortisol levels, which stimulate sex hormones, are at their highest on Thursday, the Sun reported.

Therefore, it is recommended that set your alarm clock and get frisky first thing, when testosterone is highest for men and oestrogen levels are up to five times higher for women.

Another research by US experts also found that Tuesday is the busiest day of the week in hospital maternity units and that the greatest number of births occur on this day.

And you are 16 per cent more likely to die if you go to hospital on a Sunday rather than a Wednesday.
