D-Day for Home Minister Chidambaram

New Delhi, Feb 2: Today is D-Day for Union Home Minister Chidambaram. Landmark judgements are expected from country's top court Supreme Court in 2-G spectrum case. The bench consisting of Justices G S Singhvi and A K Ganguly who have monitored the investigations of scams involved in allocation of spectrums will deliver their verdit. Incidentally it is the final day at office for Justice AK.Ganguly.

All eyes are on petition filed by spectrum scam crusader Dr.Subramanya Swamy seeking SC permission to investigate Home Minister Chidambaram's role in the scam. Judgement is also expected on two petitions filed by prominent lawyer Prashant Bhushan who is aide of Anna Hazare, seeking cancellation of 2G licences and setting up of an SIT to monitor probe into the scam. on Tuesday Justices Singhvi and Ganguly passed a monumental judgement upholding Subramanya Swamy's  right to seek the prosecution of Raja for the 2G scam and indicted the PMO for delaying prosecution of the sacked telecom minister.

Any SC strictures will be a slap on face of ruling UPA govt who stood behind home minister tooth and nail to the core.
