HC issues contempt notice to Modi govt
Gujarat, Feb 15: Gujarat High Court wednesday issued contempt notice to BJP led Modi government of the State for delaying compensation to 56 people whose shops were destroyed during the communal riots of 2002.

This judgement spells death knell to Modi as his detractors have got shot in their arm and will be baying for his blood. Sources say the High Court slammed the BJP government for failing to comply with its order, passed last year, related to compensation of the shop owners.

The Court angrily questioned as to what stopped the govt  from handing over the money to those affected. The high court ruling comes on a day when a Metropolitan court in Ahemdabad is set to pronounce its decision on Modi’s alleged role in the Gulbarg Society massacre during the 2002 Gujarat riots.

The court will also pass its order on whether or not the SIT, which has reportedly given a clean chit Modi, should be given more time to submit the pertinent documents before it.
