Tiger scares away voters

New Delhi, Feb 19: People of India's largest state Uttar Pradesh are voting to decide their rulers for the next five years but a tiger on prowl is scaring away voters of this constituency from using their fundamental right. Police officials who are busy in ensuring free and peaceful polls are not bothered about plight of these villagers. Surprisingly the locality in question is just 28 kms throw away in rural Malihabad constituency which happens to be CM Mayavathi who harps on protecting the poor.

A callous DK. Thakur, DIG of Lucknow questions "Why should people be scared of the tiger during the day, when the animal has been striking only at night?" and further adds "After all, they have been living with the tiger around for so many weeks and it has not attacked a single human being,". Locals question why they should vote when authorities are unable to provide security for them. While some though they are interested couldn't come out for the fear of tiger. People complain even politicians who were contesting did not get courage to come for campaigning and say no one cares them as their count is mere 350 votes.
