Chittoor based villager Krishna (Nani) falls for Riya (Ruksar Mir), a medical student, daughter of village sarpanch (Nagineedu). But father disapproves their love and sends his daughter back to Hyderabad. At the same time renowned rock star in Czech Republic, Arjun (Nani), popular as a playboy gets attracted to Subbalakshmi (Anupama Parameswaran) and tries to win her heart. Subbalakshmi hating him to the core, returns back to Hyderabad.

Krishna and Arjun lands in Hyderabad in pursue of their love but they will be in for a shock. To find out more about it, watch Krishnarjuna Yuddham on screen.

Nani slipped into the dual roles effortlessly. He looked stylish as a rock star Arjun and attracted with his body language and mannerisms as a villager Krishna from Chittor district. However for all his hard work, his natural expressions and screen presence looked repetitive as there is nothing new which movie lovers expect from Nani except for the Chittoor district accent as Krishna. Remove that, there is nothing new in Nani's dialogue delivery and mannerisms. Everything looks repetitive right from Nani's expressions, body language and mannerisms.

He failed to create impact as the rock star Arjun. It is high time Nani tries out something new, completely out of the world as he is falling short of the soaring expectations of the movie lovers from him. This is his own undoing as Nani with his performances raised the bar and movie lovers are not settling anything ordinary from him.

Anupama Parameswaran attracted as Subbalakshmi but she got limited scope to show her acting talent. Rukshar Mir attracted as Riya but she too got confined to just glamor treat. Others like Brahmaji, Prabhas Sreenu,Vidyullekha,Nagineedu performed according to their roles.

Hiphop Tamizha attracted with couple of songs. They are foottapping and attractive. However few songs acted as speed breakers. His background score created good impact elevating the scenes. G.Sathya's editing could have been far better throughout the film and especially in the second half as there are many drags left unedited.

Karthik Ghatamaneni elevated the film scenes with his cinematography capturing the scenic beauty in a natural manner. Director Merlapaka Gandh should have added few more twists and turns and worked on the screenplay for better impact. Production values are good.

Plus Points

Nani's mannerisms and dialogue delivery

Minus Points

Routine story, predictable plot

Screenplay and Direction

Songs placement

Spineless comedy

Lack of real twists and turns

Merlapaka Gandhi teamed with Nani and decided to show Natural Star's dual power on silver screen to score a blockbuster. Expectations soared at the prospect of dual treat from Nani. However Gandhi came with a completely routine story with no real twists and turns.

He tried to attract viewers by highlighting Nani as Chitoor youngster Krishna. In this he emerged successful as Nani came out with flying colors with his dialogue delivery, accent and mannerisms. But in his quest to highlight Krishna's role, he completely failed to come with convincing characterization of Rockstar Arjun and also the entire story.

This resulted in the first half turning out to be pretty average with no real entertainment except for the Krishna's mannerisms. First half however ends on a interesting note with the interval block. However after the break, story turns out to be extremely routine testing the patience of the viewers.

There is no logic between the similarities and justification of the roles of Krishna and Arjuna, and Arjun most of time got confined playing to second fiddle to Krishna in the second half. Nani's natural expressions went missing especially as a rock star and Gandhi failed with his story, screenplay and direction. The story went haywire and so too the execution and the film ends with a routine climax. It is high time Nani realizes that he should rethink his selection of scripts or else his quest for mass image will give him more shocks in future.
