Kalamandir Kalyan (Sivaji Raja) raises his son (Naga Shourya) as a girl. He grows up without any feelings towards girls. He falls gets attracted to couple of girls Manasa (Kashmira) and Satya (Yamini Bhaskar).
His father mistakes his feelings for Satya for love and settles fixes his wedding with her, interacting with her father, a don Rayudu (Jayaprakash Reddy).
However everyone will be in for a shock and to find out more about it, enjoy Nartanasala on silver screen.
Naga Shourya tried his best to attract movie lovers with his expressions, body language and mannerisms. However he did not get much chance as his character turns out to be extremely routine.
Kashmira and Yamini Bhaskar got limited screen presence and tried to capture the attention of all by indulging in glamor show.
Others like Sivaji Raja and Jaya Prakash Reddy are OK but their roles are routine and comedy did not work out well. Others like Ajay, Satyam Rajesh performed according to their roles.
Sagar Mahati failed to attract with his music and background score is just average. Songs acted as speed breakers. Vijaya Kumar's cinematography is attractive and beautified the film.
Editing left a lot to be desired and had editing been perfect, there wouldn't have been any film at all. Director Srinivasa Chakravarthy should have worked on story before proceeding ahead with the project. Production values are good.
Kashmira and Yamini's glamor show
Story, Screenplay, Direction
Lack of commercial elements
Director Srinivasa Chakravarthy tried to attract movie lovers with a triangular love story including gay shades as a surprise. However right from the start to finish he failed to generate interest with the narration. He came with a very weak story and failed completely with his screenplay and direction.
None of the scenes generated interest among movie lovers. He failed to come with powerful characters to challenge the actors and this affected the entire film turning it into a below average entertainer. Even the dialogues, scenes and characterization turned routine and tested the patience of the movie lovers irritating them giving them third degree torture.
Nartanasala turns out to be Torturesala.
