Story

Nila (Chandini Chowdhary) who runs a photo studio along with his father, gets attracted to a painter Manu ( Raja Gautam) who lives in a Siya Island in East Coast sea. Initially both quarrel due to misunderstandings and part ways but only fall in love in no time.

However shocking incidents occur in their lives with the entry of Amar (Srikanth), Akbar (John Kottali), Anthony (Mohan Bhagat) and Ranga (Abhiram Varma).

To find out more about those shockers, watch Manu on screen.

Performance

Gautam tried to attract with his new look which is completely different from Pallakilo Pellikuturu and Basanti. He tried to be different with his dialogue delivery. He is ok with his performance. Chandini Chowdhary got a good role and she performed well within her limits and looked attractive.

Others like Srkanth, Johan Kottali, Abhiram Varma, Mohan Bhagat performed well. Experience of Srikanth and Johan Kottali in theatre arts helped them attract with their performances.

Technical

Vishwanath Reddy took the film to new level with his cinematography. Naresh Kumaran's background score elevated the scenes. Editing could have been far better throughout the film.

Phaneedra should have worked on the story, script and screenplay before proceeding ahead with the project. Production values are good.

Analysis

Director Phaneendra Narsetty tried to attract with a horror, murder, thriller mystery. But he came with a thin plot and lost it completely by dragging the film to the core.

He failed in his execution and ended up testing the patience of the viewers. His story turned out to be weak despite starting off in an interesting manner and screenplay lacked the intensity.

Even serials are better than the film which tested the patience of the viewers with slow narration. Even those who love thrillers will find it difficult to bear the three hours torture.

Final Talk

Manu tortures movie lovers.
