AN NRI girl Nicky (Nidhhi Agerwal) who looks for her Prince Charming who cares only for her, comes across Casanova Vicky (Akhil). Nicky hates him for his flirting ways and starts avoiding Vicky. However both their relationship take unexpected turns with the turn of events.
To find out where their relationship leads to and what are those surprising and unexpected turn of events, enjoy Mr.Majnu on screen.
Akhil attracted as usual with his handsome looks and charming personality. He stunned all with his dances and made females develop cold feet showing 8 feet. Though he tried to impress all with his expressions and emotions, he has a long way to go before scoring points.
Nidhhi Agerwal attracted with her looks at the start of the film but as the film progressed she looked dull and pale and looked uninterested in acting. She just passed through the motions and probably it got to do with her role as a girl who undergoes the suffering of a heart break.
Hyper Aadi, Priyadarshi to some extent attracted with their humour but most of the time, comedy failed to click and irritated movie lovers.
Rao Ramesh,Jaya Prakash, Subbaraju,Pavitra and Sitara performed according to their roles.
Farah Karimaee, Anisha Mandara, Seema Morar,Victor Nita, Nina Kumar provided the required beauty treat romancing Akhil as Casanova.
Thaman attracted with his background score. It elevated the scenes and the tunes are romantic and attractive. Songs like Yemaindo, Naalo Neeku, Hey Nenila are good. But other songs acted as speed breakers.
George Williams’ cinematography is beautiful and captured the scenic locations of London in a lovely manner. Editing of Naveen Nooli could have been better especially in the second half.
Director Venky Atluri should have come with some interesting twists and turns and included few humour for better impact. Production values are good.
Couple of dialogues
Story, Screenplay, Direction
Routine, predictable narration
Lack of entertainment
Venky Atluri who impressed all showing Mega Prince Varun Tej in a romantic entertainer Tholi Prema, came with another entertainer Mr.Majnu with Akkineni Prince Akhil. He emerged successful in showing Akhil as a handsome and charming playboy and Casanova in London. The entire first half sails off smoothly, though story remains standstill most of the time with little or no real entertainment.
But movie lovers are treated to the exotic locations of London and the handsome looks of Akhil. While many expected second half to be racy with something happening to accelerate the story, it drags testing the patience of the people with predictable narration. The comedy too looked forced irritating movie lovers.
Venky failed with his story, screenplay and narration in his quest to show Akhil as a playboy. Though he came with few dialogues like Doberman theory and differentiating between breakup and heartbreak, he failed to generate interest among movie lovers with stale narration.
Finally, Akhil suffers both heartbreak and breakup with the movie lovers and at the box office.
Mr.Majnu gets heartbreak from movie lovers.
