Amaravati: Opposition leader Jaganmohan Reddy is on Srikakulam tour to give reassurance to those evicted for the Vamsadhara project.
Jagan said that the only 10% of the project is remaining to finish yet Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu won’t do it. He said if the CM is a pro-farmer man the project would have been completed already.
Jagan added that CM's love for contractors far outweighs his love for farmers because contractors might be giving him 30% commission but love for farmers will not fetch any commissions.
Jagan recalled the debts of the state and said that when Chandrababu took charge as CM the debts of the state were 97,000 crores but in less than three years time the debts doubled and that AP is now 216,000 crores debt ridden. Mentioning that inspite of taking so many debts CM has no heart to give at least a 1000 crores for the project. Jagan asked people to question the Chief Minister about the same.
