Amaravai: YSRCP chief Jagan Mohan Reddy pre and post the launch of his party was under the impression that it was only a matter of time before he becomes the CM of the state of Andhra Pradesh, divided or undivided.
However the turn of events with every passing day in the last 7 years or so, analysts feel that Jagan is now becoming Na Idhar Ka Na Udhar Ka.
Jagan tried to ride on the sympathy wave following his father YSR's death and from then on tried to keep that sympathy alive by going on a continuous odarpu yatra or padayatra.
But what he and his strategists failed to realise is everything has an expiry time. Anything which is over done will lose its relevance. Pro Jagan's media and his supporters are boasting that Jagan created a record by going on yatra for more than a year.
Except that, there is nothing new in Jagan's speeches or mannerisms. Except for Chandra Babu's bashing, he has no other agenda and many feel that Jagan is fast losing his identity and becoming a non entity reaching his expiry date.
Even when sympathy on YSR was on a high, Jagan failed to cash in on it and lost the elections. Now YSRCP is confident that anti incumbency will work in its favour. They were confident that Jagan and Pawan will join hands but Pawan gave a huge shock after his own calculations deciding to go alone. Even before this shock, AP CM Chandra Babu Naidu formed an alliance with bitter rival Congress party.
Jagan couldn't digest that as after his party launch he thundered it is a battle between Pulivendala self respect and 10 Janpath's arrogance. Now they cannot join hands with Congress and they cannot join hands with BJP as most of those in YSRCP are from the Congress.
To the top of it, people of AP are angry with Modi for cheating them by not according special statues. So Jagan cannot join hands with Modi's BJP. Already rumours are spreading that BJP is directing Jagan and that was the reason he is out of jail on bail in corruption cases with CBI going slow. Jana Sena supporters too are not agreeing to the rumours that BJP is trying to get Jagan and Pawan forge an alliance.
