With fears that Kattappa could become a hurdle for release of Baahubali 2 in Karnataka, ace director SS Rajamouli had literally pleaded Kannadigas to not stop release of the upcoming magnum opus in the state. The reason why Kattappa became hurdle was that the character played by Satyaraj happens to be Tamilian and hurt by Satyaraj's statements earlier about Cauvery water Kannadigas have issued warning that they will not have the film released in the state.
In view of this Jakkanna shared a video wherein he spoke in Kannada appealing people to not stop release of movie for comments made by Satyaraj 9 years back. He said that stopping may not bring losses to one actor but could affect producers of the movie. Further Jakkanna said that the opinion expressed by Satyaraj was his personal and nothing to do with Baahubali makers.
However Kannada associations said that Kattappa Satyaraj should tender unconditional apology to athe Kannadigas to have the film released in Karnataka.
Vatal Nagaraj President of Okota said that they are not against the movie but only against Satyaraj and said they may reconsider about release of movie if Satyaraj tenders unconditional apology to Kannadigas. Vatal said that when Super Star Rajani could tell sorry why can’t Satyraj.
Fate of Baahubali in Karnataka depends on Satyaraj now. Will he or won’t he?
