Sandalwood seductress Samyuktha Hegde is making her entry into Tollywood with Kirrak Party. Samyuktha is reprising her role which she did in the original which also marked her debut in Sandalwood.
Samyuktha is romancing Nikhil and is also sharing screen presence with Simran Pareenja under the direction of Sharan Koppisetty. Samyuktha speaking to scribes spoke about her role in the film.
She says “As an actor, I wanted to see if I have ‘grown up’ in comparison to the same role.”
She adds, “The role was realistic and I connected to it. It’s about a tomboy who doesn’t care about the world, and is madly in love with a guy. So I could relive my school life, where I had a crush on my senior. In fact, I always like men with a good body and a nice voice.”
About coping with telugu, she says “I didn’t know Telugu, but I learnt the language in three months and even dubbed for my lines, just like the Kannada film,” she says, adding, “I had several lengthy dialogues to say and it wasn’t easy (smiles). But as an actor, I wanted to learn and push myself.”
Samyuktha a school dropout says “Being an actress is very hard because we need to look good all the time. I was a tomboy in school, but now I have to apply face creams, de-tan, etc, which I never did before,” She adds, “I had to drop out of college because of showbiz offers and dance. Life has changed completely and I am now becoming a lady.”
She added “Initially it was difficult to get used to being an actress, but now I am pretty cool. And the best part is taking care of yourself and looking good. It’s a fun thing because I am getting paid as well.”
