Super Star Rajinikanth’s upcoming entertainer Kaala directed by PA.Ranjith is slated for a grand release on June 7th across the world. However it seems Rajini’s political statements is giving the makers shocks from various sides.
Already Karnataka banned Kaala release following Rajini’s statement demanding Karnataka government to release Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu. As if this was not enough, Jawahar Nadar, filed a defamation case seeking an explanation and apology along with 100crs compensation from the makers for tarnishing the image of his father S.Thiraivaiam Nadar in the film to gain political support of the upper caste.
Now it is coming-out that some organisations in Norway and Switzerland are opposing Kaala release following Rajini’s statements against Sterlite plant protests in Tuticorin.
Norway Tamil film distribution association member Vaseegaran Sivalingam has refused to screen Kaala in Norway saying no one will watch Kaala after Rajini’s insulting statements. Similar protests are seen in Switzerland.
