King Nagarjuna speaking to scribes raved about Hyderabad's Shaan. Taking about the city and delicious tastes,he said “If you want to flirt with the city in terms of food, then I don’t have to tell you that it’s all about our ‘world famous’ Hyderabadi biryani. It is also my all-time favourite food. I’m sure everyone loves it. Then there are the yummy kebabs — my favourite is from an age-old shack near Tank Bund; they’re outstanding. But one dish I am truly proud of is the haleem.
people from everywhere come to Hyderabad during Ramzan just to have haleem. That makes us special,”
He went on to add “On one hand we have the rich, flavorful Andhra food which is to die for; and then, we also have the earthy, fiery Telangana cuisine available which is equally yummy. If you’re here, you should have a bit of everything,”
About hit siftness regime, he added “I wish I could do that more often, you know! How many cities can boast of a lung space like KBR Park? We’re lucky. And then there’s all those gorgeous rock formations — just go take a walk. We can even go sailing in the Hussain Sagar Lake, or play some golf club at Boulder Hills. People who love cycling, can go cycling all the way to Nagarjuna Sagar Dam. in fact, cycling to Vikarabad is also not a bad idea.”
About the life in Hyderabad, he raved “Gone are the days when you had nothing to do in Hyderabad. Look at the number of night clubs, pubs, micro-breweries mushrooming in the city. I wish the scene was so happening when I was younger.... I’d be out partying all night! Sadly, by the time nightlife came to Hyderabad, I was already a celebrity and it became very difficult for me to be out there partying. Having said that, I keep hearing about and seeing all these cool hangout spots cropping up, especially around Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and Hitech City. While driving through the city, I see cars parked on the roads and youngsters having a good time with their buddies. Lucky guys, (chuckles). And then of course, you have a lot of live bands as well to add to the fun quotient.”
He added “It’s rather homely; people are so welcoming; you’ll find someone you know everywhere. So, go out and enjoy, flirt with Hyderabad,”
