Chitra (Anjali) joins as a Assistant Professor (Psychology) in the same Wesley College from where she graduated and starts doing research on paranormal activities. However rumours spread that the hostel is haunted by a ghost. Under these circumstances Anjali starts behaving strangely trying to seduce women.
Psychiatrist Neelakantha (Jaya Prakash) tries to cure Anjali when she confesses that she has been getting dreams of watching a murder in the backdrop of a lake. Argument follows between Chitra and Neelakantha and in the process they even meet priests who talk of Nadi astrology.
Anjali decides to solve the mystery behind murder dreams by herself and flies to USA as she notices a snap of a lake which appears in her dreams. To find out more about Chitra's mysterious dreams enjoy Chitrangada on screen.
Anjali performed well in her role showing right kind of expressions and emotions. She changed her body language accordingly and also her voice accordingly. Jaya Prakash performed well as a psychiatrist. Saptagiri's comedy is routine and in few scenes evokes laughter.
Deepak, Sindhu Tulani, Raksha, Sakshi Gulati and others performed according to the roles. Deepak is OK in his negative role. However emotions are missing in his role as well as that of Sindhu Tulani.
Music is OK. Background score is average. Cinematography of Bal Reddy, James Quan is beautiful.
Few dialogues of Ashok attract. He should have done away with routine stuff to add some interesting elements. Editing could have been better especially in the second half. Production values are good.
Ashok of Pilla Jamindar and Sukumarudu fame came with different concept of horizontal thriller comedy film. though the concept is good, Ashok failed in his execution. Nothing happens in the first half and while many expected the film to have some story in the second half, it turns out to be routine revenge drama.
Ashok failed to create interest with his screenplay and direction. The film lacked what the filmmakers promoted it to be…horror, thriller and comedy. Everything looked routine testing the patience of the viewers.
Chitrangada tortures in the name of creativity.
