Story

Jogendra (Rana) was sentenced to death and police make arrangements to telecast his interview live, after he gets permission through his lawyers to narrate his autobiography.

Jogendra(Rana) starts narrating his shocking rise to power as almost the CM of the state from a simple money lender in Uravakonda village.

To find out more about his rise and his connection with his wife Radha (Kajal), his right hand Shiva(Navadeep), Sarpanch (Pradeep Rawat), Home Minister (Ashutosh Rana), Focus TV reporter Devika Rani (Catherine Tresa), enjoy Nene Raju Nene Mantri on silver screen.

Performance

Rana came with terrific performance as Jogendra in the film. He showed right kind of expressions and emotions and carried the film on his shoulders. His body language is extraordinary and he bowled all with his macho looks.

Kajal looked gorgeous as a traditional village woman and attracted all with her expressions. The romantic scenes and chemistry between Rana and Kajal is beautiful. Navadeep performed his role well as Rana's right hand.

Catherine Tresa did her role well as a media baron while Ashutosh Rana, Posani, Sivaji Raja, Ajay, Tanikella Bharani and others performed their roles accordingly.

Technical

Anup Rubens came with situational songs and all are shot beautifully and in a romantic manner. Title song is shot with powerful lyrics and intensity. Background score took the film to another level. Cinematography of Venkat C Dileep is good. Editing of Koatagiri Venkateswara Rao is good and could have been crispy in the second half.

Teja could have filmed the film in a more realistic manner. Production values are good.

Analysis

Teja who has been looking for a turnaround following the string of failures this time came with a powerful political thriller and he kept viewers glued for the entire first half till the interesting interval block.

Many expected Teja to continue in the same vein, but repetition of few scenes, missing logics, drags in the film acted as pullbacks. Teja however attracted with the powerful satires, oneliners and punches on current political parties, media-political nexus and the dirty games they play and how people too get carried away for few more bucks.

Some of the proverbs and dialogues used by Rana are good. Dialogues like 'padavullo unnavaalle baguntaru, pakkanundevaallu bagundaru, anna vastralu kavalante, unna vastralu potayi, vanda mandi MLAsni teesukelli hotel lo pedite nenu avutanu CM, satruvu kooda pathalu nereputadani telisindi".

He took potshots on Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and National politics and also on Congress party which ruled the state for more 6-7decades and also on Jagan's Odarpu yatra. Though climax surprise all, it looked silly and missed the logic. Though the story is predictable, Teja made it quite interesting but once again botched up with his screenplay.

Final Talk

Nene Raju Nene Mantri attracts with political oneliners.
