Story

Sekhar (Rajasekhar) is the Assistant Commissioner in National Investigation Agency (NIA) despite his troubled marriage life as his wife Swathi (Pooja Kumar) files a divorce case, shows dedication towards his profession and cracks many mysterious cases like Nakshatra snails and other things.

He is now faced with the encrypted messages and a plot to assassinate Opposition party National Janata Party president Pratap Reddy (Posani Krishna Murali). During the investigation he while shifting the criminal he gets attacks from unknown assassins. To unravel the secret behind the encrypted codes, watch PSV Garuda Vega on screen.

Performance

Rajasekhar who is known for his powerful high voltage action roles during his hay days, slipped into the role effortlessly. He showed variations in expressions and emotions coming with the right kind of body language in balancing personal and professional life.

Pooja got limited role to perform and she is not that attractive looks wise as she played the role is a unhappied wife. Sunny Leone sizzled in special song but however the song was forced into the film and failed to make any impact.

Others got limited scope to perform and all performed according to their roles. Be it Shradda Das, Nassar, Posani Krishna Murali, Prudhvi Raj, Avasarala Srinivas, Charandeep, Ravi Varma, they did their roles accordingly.

Technical

Sri Charan and Bheems elevated the film to another level with their thumping background score. However Sunny Leone song did not make much impact. Dharmendra Kakala's editing could have been better especially in the second half Anji beautified the film with his cinematography.

Director Praveen Sattaru should have elevated Rajasekhar heroism even more rather than confining him to just giving directions to attract masses. He should have done away with routine comedy, forced songs and scenes and included few more intense scenes for more powerful impact. Production values are good.

Analysis

Praveen Sattaru decided to show the power of Rajasekhar and bring back memories of Angry Young Man on the silver screen to the movie lovers. He came with a high voltage action entertainer and he selected a good plot revolving around NIA,DAE(Department of Atomic Energy),international criminals, smuggling of Uranium, Plutonium and Thorium like Nuclear elements to rogue nations and the politician, government officials and criminals nexus which results in scams like mining, defence and other scams.

The film starts off on a intense note in the backdrop of the World's tallest dam in Georgia but it loses pace with few sentiment scenes. However Praveen pulls it back to track as he unravels the plot keeping the suspense intact till the interval bang after the high voltage action scene. Praveen managed to keep the interest alive despite taking few cinematic liberties and missing few logics.

When everyone expected similar intensity in the second half,he drifted away from the story including forced songs, sentiments and comedy testing the patience of the viewers. The film drags towards the the most silliest climax after dragging through the second half. People wonder how come Assistant Commissioner in NIA remain so naive that he donot even know DAE (Department of Atomic Energy) and its operations.

Praveen though attracted with his story and plot failed to come with strong screenplay and direction. Had he trimmed the film and came with a stronger and logical story, Garuda Vega would have been the grand comeback for Angry Star Rajasekhar. As such at present with its current content, it turns out to be a below average entertainer.

Final Talk

Garuda Vega misses logic and fails to create a success saga.
