The news of Napoleon's missing shadow goes viral and media too starts showing interest. Ravi Varma who starts investigating finds out shocking revelations about the missing shadow. To unravel the mystery behind the missing shadow watch Napoleon on silver screen.
Ravi Varma slipped into the role effortlessly. He attracted with his body language and came with perfect expressions and emotions as a caring police officer.
Anand Ravi performed well but he needs to work hard to get his timing and expressions right. Others like Komali, Kedar Shankar performed according to their roles.
Siddharth Sadasivuni attracted with his background score. Music is OK. Margal David's cinematography is good. Editing of Karthika Srinivas could have been better as there are many drags in the film.
Anand Ravi could have added few more twists and turns and concentrated on the climax which would have made the film more interesting. He left many loopholes in the narration which hampered the film's intensity. Production values are good.
Lack of commercial elements
Anand Ravi who attracted with his story for Nara Rohit's Pratinidhi turned director with Napoleon. He generated interest with the teaser and trailer where a person comes to the police station complaining about his missing shadow. The story starts off on a interesting note and investigation progresses with a good interval bang. Though the first half is slow, with the interesting narration, viewers donot get bored.
However from the second half, the investigation turns extremely slow and routine flash back tests the patience of the movie lovers. Director in his quest to highlight the novel point lost focus on many important things resulting in illogical scenes and loopholes while showing the investigation process. Interest increases in the pre climax but climax turns out to be a routine one.
Anand Ravi's came with an interesting story line but his screenplay and direction went awry fluctuating like crests and troughs affecting the film's final result.
Napoleon tests the patience of the viewers.
