Story

Roshan (Akash) a young and patriotic Indian and Afreen (Neha Shetty), a young Pakistani girl get haunted by similar dream of themselves getting killed ever since their childhood. Roshan finally gets selected for Indian Army, while Afreen decides to pursue her studies further despite pressures to get married from her family.

To find out the mystery behind the haunted dreams and their connection to Kabir and Madira, watch Mehbooba on silver screen.

Performance

Akash Puri worked hard to attract movie lovers. But he looked misfit to be a soldier. Neha Shetty is ok in her role but did not have that looks to attract viewers with her glamour.

Murali Sharma, Shayaji Shinde,Vishnu Reddy and others performed according to their roles.

Technical

Vishnu Sharma elevated the film with his cinematography. Junaid Siddique's editing could have been better as there are many scenes which dragged the film slowing the tempo. Sandeep Chowta's music is just average as none of the songs are that attractive or get registered in the minds of the movie lovers. His background score is good in some scenes but at times turned out to  be average.

Dialogues are ordinary and at times overboard except in few scenes. Puri Jagannadh should have worked on the story and script to include more twists and turns before proceeding ahead with it. Production values are good

Analysis

Puri Jagannadh tried to attract movie lovers with a romantic entertainer with has connection to past life and Pakistan. Though it looks good to hear this novel concept, he failed miserably with his story, screenplay and direction and finally in his execution.

He starts the narration in a interesting manner but as the story progresses he loses his sheen completely and ends up testing the patience of the movie lovers. Though the interval twist generate interest, second half turns out to be a torture with illogical scenes, over the board dialogues and routine chest thumping climax. Many felt Puri after the start lost interest in the film as he showed Pakistanis conversing in chaste Telugu as the story progresses while in the beginning they were shown conversing in chaste Urdu.

Had Puri used his intelligence and been realistic in his approach, the film would have turned out to be a good romantic entertainer.

Final Talk

Mehbooba turns miserable.
