Story

NRI guy Vishwa (Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas), son of a business tycoon Siva Prakash (Jaya Prakash) of Vishwa Industries in USA, fall in love with Soundarya Lahari (Pooja Hegde). While developing a reality video game with emotions and feelings, he tries to woo Soundarya Lahari. While everything goes according to plan, a misunderstanding and then few shocking developments find Vishwa in India where there is threat to his life.

To find out what are those shocking incidents and the kind of threat and what he got to do with Munusamy (Jagapathy Babu) and his brothers (Ravi Kishan, Ashutosh Rana, Madhu Gurusamy) and advocate Thakur (Rao Ramesh), watch Saakshyam on silver screen.

Performance

Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas worked hard to attract movie lovers. He thrilled all with his dancing moves and stunts. However he came with stale expressions. He should work on his expressions and work on his emotions to reach the next level of stardom.

Pooja Hegde attracted with her hot looks and glamour. Her chemistry with Sai Srinivas attracted on screen. She sizzled red hot in a sensuous manner in the songs. However at times, her makeup looked odd.

Jagapathy Babu looked menacing with her looks and performed well in his trademark evil role. Others like Ashutosh Rana and Ravi Kishan supported him amply. Sarath Kumar, Meena, Rao Ramesh and others played according to their roles. Vennela Kishore’s comedy is limited and didn't workout well.

Technical

Harshawardhan Rameswhar came with foottapping tunes. All the songs are shot lavishly. Couple of songs are attractive, while others tested the patience with their placement. He elevated the film with his background score. Arthur Wilson captured the nature’s locations in a realistic manner and beautified the film. CG and VFX are attractive. Editing could have been far better as there are many scenes that dragged the film.

Director Sriwaas should have worked on the script and screenplay and added few more interesting elements, twists and turns for better impact. Production values are good.

Analysis

Director Sriwaas tried to score a hit with powerful mass entertainer adding thrilling elements involving nature. The concept looked interesting and he started off in a hair rising manner before fizzling out with the romantic track. However pre interval and interval bang set the tone for the second half.

But second half turned out to be routine once the plot unfolded. Songs acted as a speedbreakers while the narration turned clichéd. Even the much anticipated fights involving various elements of nature, didn't generate much interest.

Srivaas lost the plot in the middle with his routine story, screenplay and direction. He should have maintained few twists and turns without revealing everything in the middle and at the sametime elevated the heroism to another level. He should have toned down the extreme violence and included few entertaining elements to attract viewers.

Saakshyam starts off on a interesting note but fizzled out as it progressed. It may appeal to few in B,C centres but puts off genex movie lovers and multiplex viewers.
