Kokila(Nayanatara), hails from lower middle class. She has a college going sister, while her mother is a housewife and father , a security guard.
However suddenly her life turns upside down and she finds herself in urgent need of Rs 15 lakhs.
To find out the shocking turn of events, enjoy CoCo Kokila on silver screen.
Nayanatara showed her acting prowess with her powerful screen presence. She made a lasting impression with bringing in variations in her expressions and emotions, to carry the film on her shoulders. She stuns all showing her innocence and also her wickedness as the film progresses.
Yogi Babu attracted with his humor to some extent while Saranya Ponvannan played the role of her mother aptly.
Others like RS.Shivaji, Vinoth and Jacqueline played their roles accordingly.
Anirudh attracted with his music. Songs are realistic and wellshot. He elevated the scenes with his powerful background score. Sivakumar Vijayan beautified the film with his cinematography taking it to another level.
Editing of Nirmal could have been better as there are few drags in the film. Nelson could have added few more twists and turns, toned down the preachy angle and also pre climax for even more better impact. Production values are good.
Preachy scenes, message
Nelson Dilip Kumar came with the dark story and showed Nayanatara's acting power to create powerful impact. He came with a realistic story and highlighted the problems of the poor and the circumstances which force them to take unwanted decisions.
Though he came with an interesting story, slow pace affected it at most of the times. He attracted with his story, screenplay and direction and after a slow start, the film picks up pace with a good interval bang.
However as many expects an interesting climax, preachy scenes in the pre climax, spoiled it a bit. Despite all this, Nayanatara's performance make up for all those loopholes.
Kokila fails to give powerful kick.
