Chaitu (Naga Chaitanya), son of a egoistic industrialist Rao (Murli Sharma), gets attracted to a beautiful girl Anu (Anu Emmanuel), a fine arts student, carbon copy of his dad, when it comes to ego.

Much to the surprise of Chaitu, his dad accepts Anu as his daughter in law but when everything is moving smoothly, Chaitu gets a huge shock.

To find out more about the shocks and what connection, Anu's mother Shailaja Reddy (Ramya Krishna), got to do with it, enjoy Shailaja Reddy Alludu on silver screen.

Naga Chaitanya looked at ease while performing the role of a youngster who is composed and dealt the pressure cooker like tense situations with ease. He performed better than his previous films and attracted with his expressions and emotions. However his role is subdued and looked second fiddle and this disappoints his fans. Despite his hard work he still needs to improve upon his dialogue delivery.

Anu Emmanuel looked attractive and glamorous. She did the role of the egoistic girl in an appealing manner. Murli Sharma and Naresh's roles are tailor made for them.

Ramya Krishna got a powerful role and she attracted with her performance. Though her role is routine, she elevated the scenes with her screen presence. Vennela Kishore, Pruthvi tried to attract with their comedy but met with little success. Others performed according to their roles.

Gopi Sunder's music is OK. Couple of songs are good and well shot. Others turned out to be just average. He attracted with his background music. Cinematography of Nizar Shafi is beautiful. He captured the scenic beauty in a natural manner.

Editing of Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is below average. He could have chopped down many scenes in the film which dragged the film and tested the patience of the viewers. Maruti should have thought out of the box and included few twists and turns to get better results. Production values are good.

Minus Points

Story, Screenplay, Direction

Slow pace

Routine narration

Lack of entertaining elements

Director Maruthi who despite coming with routine entertainers scored hits due to entertaining elements, this time came with a mass entertainer involving composed hero and egoistic lover and her mother. He tried to score a hit including entertaining elements to attract movie lovers making them forget the routines in the story.

However the story turned out to be so age old and routine, that right from the start to finish, the film did not have a single novel scene to increase the interest of the movie lovers. All the scenes appear in a routine manner and the actors pass through the motions with the director trying to stoke up the feelings of the viewers with the artificial expressions and emotions.

None of the scenes connect chords with the movie lovers and even the mass elements and comedy  fail to click.

All the characters are weakly written and narrated and the director failed completely with his story, screenplay and direction. While the first half ends up in a below average manner, second half hits the down slide, sliding towards the disaster. The film for all its so called mass elements stuffed in it with lack of heroism ,forget about appealing to A centers, may fail to attract even the B,C centers.

Final Talk

Shailaja Reddy Alludu shocks all with staleness.
