Faizee (Dulqer Salmaan) aspires to become a chef, much against the wishes of his father Abdul Razak (Siddique), a business magnate in Dubai. Faizee completes chef course in Switzerland without the knowledge of his father and this results in an altercation, following which he returns back to Kakinada ,Andhra Pradesh to live with his grandfather Kareem Bai (Thilakan),who runs a Janata Hotel.
Faizee undergoes lot of hardships being at Janata Hotel along with his grandfather and also when he joins as a chef a hotel in a five star hotel named 'Beach Bay'. But he suffers all of them patiently along with the rejection from Sahana (Nitya Menon), to get his dream job in overseas as a chef.
To find out whether Faizee realised his dreams, enjoy Janata Hotel on silver screen.
Dulqer Salman looked charming and handsome. He performed his role quite well getting his expressions and emotions right. His screen presence and body language is perfect. He lived in the role as a youngster who goes to any extent to realize his dream.
Nitya Menon is did the role of a bubby muslim girl from a orthodox muslim family, who enjoys her life in a secret manner.
Others like Thilakan and Siddique performed their roles accordingly.
Cinematography of Loganathan Srinivasan is natural and realistic. It beautified the film taking it to another level capturing the natural and scenic beauty. Gopi Sunder's music is just average as songs are situational but not that appealing. His background score is in sync with the film's storyline.
Editing of Praveen Prabhakar left a lot to be desired. There are many drags in the film which tested the patience of the movie lovers. Anwar Rasheed should have done away with the drags and also added few more twists and turns to make the film more interesting. Production values are good.
Couple of emotional scenes
Story, Screenplay, Direction
Lack of entertainment
Lack of commercial elements
Anwar Rasheed came with a realistic plot and narrated the story at his own pace. Story is simple and goes at a snail's pace testing the patience of the movie lovers right from the start to the finish.
The story has a very thin plot and Anwar tried to attract with the emotions and human values involved in the story. Though he emerged successful to some extent, the preachy dialogues all the time, may not go down well with the movie lovers.
Anwar's screenplay and direction is just average. With lack of entertaining elements, missing commercial values, unknown faces, drags and slow pace, Telugu movie lovers will find it difficult to love the taste of the dishes of Janata Hotel.
Janata Hotel's sentimental dishes do not give tasty treat.
