Das (Nani), PG gold medalist in medicine, aspires to lead a peaceful life as a doctor in a renowned corporate hospital and also dreams of romancing the beautiful girl Pooja (Rashmika Mandanna) whom he happens to see once.

However his helping nature lands him in trouble and his life turns upside down when he loses his job and meets dreaded don Deva (Nagarjuna) who is out to take revenge against  David (Kunal Kapoor)'s gang, the killers of his mentor Dada (Sarath Kumar).

To find out where this will lead to , enjoy Devadas on silver screen.

King Nagarjuna looked young and handsome defying his age. He attracted with his expressions and emotions showing variations in different scenes.

Nani once again showed why he is known as natural star. He attracted with his realistic performance as a mild doctor with helping nature. Nag and Nani with their screen presence entertained not only fans but also movie lovers.

Rashmika Mandanna and Akanksha Singh attracted with their gorgeous looks. But they got very limited screen presence and scope to show their acting talent.

Sarath Kumar performed well while Naveen Chandra and Kunal Kapoor lended good support. Others like Avasarala srinivas,Naresh,Murali Sharma, Balasubramanyam,Satya ,Satya Krishnan,Vennela Kishore performed according to their roles.

Mani Sharma's music is just below average. Only couple of songs are attractive. He however elevated the scenes with his background score. Editing of Pravin Pudi left a lot to be desired as there are many drags in the film which slowed the pace, testing the patience of the viewers.

Shamdat Sainudeen's cinematography beautified the film capturing the scenic beauty in a natural and realistic manner. Sriram Aditya should have come with few more twists and turns and novel narration for better impact. Production values are good.

Plus Points

Nagarjuna, Nani screen presence

Minus Points

Story, Screenplay, Direction

Predictable narration

Sriram Aditya came with a multi starrer with Nani and Nagarjuna to score a hit at the box office. Though he came with an interesting story, the narration starts off on a slow note testing the patience of the viewers. Screenplay do not generate interest as most of the scenes are predictable and some of them looked artificial.

Sriram Aditya instead of concentrating on coming with a strong screenplay and novel story, however gave more importance on the screen presence of Nani and Nagarjuna. He emerged successful in elevating Nag and Nani and all the scenes featuring the duo came out well to thrill movie lovers. However the story and narration took a beating as other characters are marginalized and in turn story got affected.

The first half ends on a predictable interval bang and second half sails through in a similar manner, with emotional scenes taking the center stage. Finally when the viewers starts losing patience, Sriram Aditya ends it with an interesting climax. Finally Devadas for all its hype turns out to be a routine predictable entertainer with no twists and turns. Those who look for something new will be disappointed but others will enjoy the time pass entertainer.

Final Talk

Devadas gives only limited delights.
