Parwatamma's (Jaya Prada) son Sarabha (Akash Kumar Sahadev) passes time in a careless manner with his uncle Chinna Rao(Nassar) and friends in Singapura village.
During that time he gets attracted to Union Minister (Shayaji Shinde)'s daughter Divya (Misthi Chakraborthy) after few quarrels.
However he gets a shock to find out that evil forces Chandraksha (Puneet Issrar), Raktaksha (Charandeep) from the past come to haunt them down to eliminate them using their powers.
To find out the reason behind it, watch Sarabha on screen.
Akash Kumar Sahadev, son of Jayaprada made his debut with this film. He is OK with his physique and looks. But he needs to work extremely hard to make an impression by honing his skills, expression and dialogue delivery.
Misthi Chakraborthy got a very limited role to perform. She did not get much screen presence and is OK with her looks. Jayaprada performed in her role quite well.
Other cast like Ponvanan, LB.Sriram, Puneet Issrar, Charandeep, Nassar,Shayaji Shinde,Prithvi,Tanikella Bharani performed according to their roles.
Koti's music is just OK. His background score though started off on a good note creating nice impact however turned out to be loud and jarring as the film progressed. Cinematography of Ramana Salva is good and he along with the graphics and VFX elevated the scenes.
Editing left a lot to be desired as there are many drags in the film. Director Narasimha Rao should have concentrated on the film's story and included few more twists and turns for better impact. Production values are good.
Lack of twists and turns
Missing chemistry between the lead pair
Director Narasimha Rao dared to be different and came with a socio fantasy film to introduce a debutante. He chose a risky plot including graphics, VFX etc and overdid himself.
He tried to take off and reach the stars without staying grounded and this affected his story, screenplay and direction.
Had he kept the narration simple and executed it to perfection results would have been different. Even the cast and crew got over excited and the entire output turned out to be loud and silly testing the patience of the viewers.
Sarabha fails to come with strong story.
