Telangana: Liquor sales go ON to malls!

Hyderabad: TS government has taken a sensational decision of permitting liquor sales in shopping malls. To that effect the excise policy of the state has been tweaked.

The General Secretary of Excise Department Somesh Kumar revealed the new excise policy of the state and it is expecting to generate a revenue of 15,000 crores to the state exchequer.

Liquor slabs are decreased from 6 to 4 and the refundable fee raised to 1 lakh from 50,000. Unlike earlier there will not be auctioning. The new policy entails once person gets one shop. Additionally CCTVs should be linked directly to the control of the Excise Department to have a control on the unprecented violence or thereof.

The decision is already meted out with resistance and common people opposing the idea of having liquor sales in malls.
