Florida, Jul 22: On July the 16th 2011, there was added sunshine in the Sunshine state of Florida. Especially in the city of Jacksonville and even more in the Telugu speaking people. Guess what brought all this? It was their favorite Music and Comic artists who came over from India.
To enrich and enhance this and make this 10 year annual cultural celebration memorable in the city of Jacksonville and hearts of the Telugu people was the presence of Mayor Alvin Brown. Mayor Brown participated for the first time in the TAJA event. He lit the lamp to mark the grand opening of the musical concert and as a mark of respect for all those who lost their lives in the recent Mumbai attacks, the crowd observed a 30 second silence. All this was made possible because of the TAJA president Mr. Kirthidhar Goud and his able coordinating committee.
All melodies were sung by budding singers like Revanth, Geetha Madhuri, Sri Krishna, Malavika, and sumangali. The comedians such as Delhi Rajeshwari, Gautam Raju, Kota Shankar Rao,Gita Singh, and Sowmya Roy lightened the mood of the audience with their witty comic sketches.
Under the able direction of Music Director Vasanth Kumar the singers put together an amazing performance.
This is first event TAJA has conducted this year and planned to celebrate more events as year progresses . Children raised far away from home got to hear the sweet telugu music from the great singers .
