'GoM after Cabinet approves T note'

Hyderabad: Congress General secretary in-charge of state affairs, Digvijaya Singh has said that after the Telanagana note is approved by the Unijon Cabinet,  group of Ministers (GoM) will be appointed to look into the entire gamut of issues that will arise out of bifurcation.

The buzz created by some Telugu news channels to the effect that the Cabinet note on Telangana will come up before the Union Cabinet as a table item.

A table item implies such an item which is taken up by the Cabinet on the spot after it is flagged as important by a minister or ministers.

When some media persons reached Congress General secretary in-charge of state affairs, Digvijaya’s place to know about the facts, he said he was not aware of the development as he was a not a minister. But Digviay added that the Telangana note will in fact, go to the Cabinet.

Singh also made I clear that the high-level committee headed by AK Antony was not appointed to review the decision of CWC. The Antony committee will look into the issues arising out of Telangana resolution, he said.

After the Cabinet approves the Telangana note, it will go to the President and thereafter to the state Assembly to seek its opinion, Singh further said.
