Hyderabad, Feb 4: Senior IAS officer B P Acharya, who was arrested by the CBI in the EMAAR Properties scam, was on Saturday discharged from the Osmania General Hospital.

The official, who was remanded to judicial custody and sent to Chanchalguda jail, had complained of chest pain. He was shifted to the Osmania General Hospital where tests were conducted and treatment offered to him. Doctors, who attended on him, said that Acharya has totally recovered and discharged from hospital.  Soon after discharge from the hospital, he was taken back to the Chanchalguda prison.
