Hyderabad, Feb 5: Chief Secretary Pankaj Dwivedi has issued orders suspending IAS officer B P Acharya, who was arrested by the CBI in the Emaar Properties case. 

The Chief Secretary has explained that the officer was suspended as he spent more than 48 hours as a remand prisoner. The suspended officer was directed not to leave Hyderabad without the permission of the government during the suspension period.
