BJP to contest 4 seats?
 
Hyderabad, Feb 21: The Bharatiya Janata Party appears to be preparing to contest in four Assembly seats of the seven 7 for which by-elections are scheduled to be held on March 18. According to sources, the party is likely to contest in Station Ghanapur, Mahbubnagar and Kamareddy constituencies in Telangana, apart from Kovvuru in Nellore, native district of the BJP stalwart M. Venkaiah Naidu.

It is also learnt that some key leaders and former MLAs of TRS are likely to join the BJP as they are vexed with the dictatorial functioning of the party president K Chandrasekhara Rao.

Meanwhile, the Lok Satta is also joining the election fray. Party president Dr Jaya Prakash Narayan announced his party’s decision to contest, on Tuesday. He said that his party would announce the seats where it would contest.
