Hyderabad, Feb 4: The CBI is presently engaged in trials to locate illegal mining accused and former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhana Reddy’s assets in foreign countries.
Janardana Reddy has earned tons of black money through illegal mining.
While his earnings are stated to be of the volume of thousands of crores of rupees, CBI could not so far locate the massive black money amassed by Gali so far. The agency suspects that he has acquired several assets in foreign countries with the money that he illegally earned through export of iron ore. To locate these assets, the agency is reportedly using the employees of Gali’s Obulapuram Mining Company, who intimately knew about Gali’s dealings. It is learnt that the agency is trying to take Vasudeva Vithal, accounts manager of the OMC who knows about the foreign assets of Gali, to different countries.
Vithal is witness number 118 in the OMC case. The agency has reportedly softened up the trusted accounts manager of Gali and is trying to use him to nail the mining baron.
