Chittoor, Feb 5: Endowments Minister C Ramachandraiah has said that it was improper on the part of Sri Tridandi China Jeeyar Swamy to try to control the entire administration of the TTD all by himself.
Talking to the media here on Sunday, the minister said that the suggestions of any devotee on the administration of temples were alive. Stating that the government would respect every one’s opinion, the minister said it was however improper on the part of any one to think of controlling the TTD administration.
The minister has announced that he would set up a committee in every district, to protect temple lands. He also said that details of the properties of temples would be disclosed on line, within a week.
When asked about the role of the TTD Executive Officer L V subrahmaniam in the EMAAR scam, Ramachandraiah said that the law would take its own course.
It may be mentioned here that China Jeeyar Swamy, who performed “Maha Yagnam” in Tirupati two days ago lambasted the TTD administration in the presence of its chairman Kanumuri Bapi Raju. He said that there were 110 serious deviations from the set norms in the pujas and other offerings to the Lord. He also said that demolition of the 14th century Veyyi Kaalla Mandapam (1000-pillared hall) brought a curse to the State and its people. He led a march to Tirumala, demanding cleansing of the temple administration.
Strongly refuting the charges, TTD EO said that while the pontiff was complaining of 110 follies, he could show him 1,000 good things they had done. He too said that it was improper on the part of Jeeyar Swamy to try to dominate the administration of the temple and told him that all the employees, including him were committed to the service of the Lord and his devotees.
