Hyderabad, Jan 27: TDP has leveled serious charges against the TRS that it had bargained with the Congress government, to subvert the Sakala Janula Samme that shook the centre, in return for the massive money making enterprise, the ‘Polavaram’ project contract. However, as the TDP’s charges could be politically motivated, but TRS had not responded.
But with the Maoist party leveling serious charges against TRS and the Telangana JAC, TRS has become tizzy.
TRS leaders, who were not in a position to give a proper reply to the Naxalites, were simply stating that they were the only leaders who were committed for Telangana. They are also stating that it was they who had supported the Naxalites and had even said that ban on the Maoists would be lifted once the Telangana state was created.
While the TRS is cornered by the criticism of the Maoists, TDP is enjoying the predicament of its opponent and gloating that its charge was vindicated.
All the political parties have been playing their own dirty games, in the guise of the Telangana movement and exploiting the sacred sentiments of the people.
The 42-day-long Sakala Janula Samme stood out as a stellar expression of the will of the people and the employees valiantly withstood all kinds of repressive methods unleashed on them by the government. In the entire nation, there was never such a protracted fight by employees, for a cause of the people.
It is however beyond any one’s imagination, why TRS was unable to give a convincing reply to the charge that it sold off Sakala Janula Samme. Though they are stating that the employees had withdrawn their Sakala Janula Samme because there was no response from the government, the explanation had not convinced any one. They are evading answer to this pointed question.
While such was the situation, the recent meeting of ‘Namaste Telangana’ MD and KCR’s close associate Rajam with AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad along with the Chief Minister N. Kiran Kumar Reddy, gave credence to the allegations of the TDP. It was said that the Chief Minister had taken Rajam to Azad only to get confirmation on the Polavaram contract. Rajam and TRS could not offer any explanation about this mysterious meeting with Azad.
The fact that Telangana employees leaders Swamy Goud, Devi Prasad and Srinivasa Goud went to Renuka Choudary’s house to attend the breakfast meeting she had set up with Azad has also given rise to speculations.
It is learnt that Renuka who has set her sights on the Rajya Sabha seat, has called the JAC leaders for the breakfast, to take their support in her trials. This meeting of the Telangana employees JAC top leaders with Renuka who was never a staunch supporter of Telangana was causing anxiety to real protagonists of statehood for the region.
Looking at this, the common man is bound to doubt that both the TRS and employees JAC leaders had sold the Telangana cause to the Congress government. It is high time that they opened their mouths and offered a convincing explanation.
