Hyderabad, Feb 18: TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu has said that he had not done anything wrong to the then Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, as long back as 2004. Yet, YSR and the subsequent Congress Chief Ministers had persecuted him by foisting false cases and making baseless allegations.
Addressing the general body of his party here on Saturday, Naidu alleged that the Congress, YSR Congress and TRS had joined hands in an unholy alliance, to damage the TDP. He reminded that several committees and commissions were constituted against him, and still no evidence could be found against him. Stating that he could not be cowed down, he reminded that his mentor and TDP founder N T Rama Rao fought back even when such cases were foisted against him and even when he was dismissed illegally. He claimed that only TDP was capable of offering an honest and transparent rule.
Referring to the by-elections in the Telangana region, the TDP chief asked party workers to strive for victory of the party. On his party’s stand on Telangana, he said that he had long back clarified that it was the Union government that has to settle the issue. Stating that Congress was in power both at the Centre and in the State, Naidu said that it was up to that party to resolve the Telangana tangle.
