Jagan promises fund for farmers

Amalapuram, Feb 3: Y.S Jagan has assured that he would create a market stabilization fund with Rs. Three crore, to save the farmers from all vagaries.

Farmers of Uppalagupta mandal of Konaseema have met Jagan who has been touring the East Godavari district. They have explained to him about the conditions that led to their observing crop holiday. They said if the same apathetic attitude of the government continued, farmers would have no option but to end their lives.

After patiently listening to the woes of the farmers, Jagan has assured them that his party would set up the corpus fund, if it came to power. He said his party would surely come to power and as soon as it does, the farmers would enjoy the same preferential treatment they enjoyed during his father YSR's rule.

Earlier, Jagan has visited the damaged Ambedkar statue at Bandivaripoota and paid respects to the leader by lighting a candle.
