KCR sells MLAs like cattle: TNSF

Hyderabad, Feb 20: Telugu Nadu Students’ Federation State president Nannuri Narsi Reddy has alleged that the TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao was in the habit of linking every election to Telangana and sells MLA posts. He said that KCR was preparing to do the same now, in the ensuing by-elections to six seats in the Telangana region.

Referring to the statement of the TRS leaders that they would quit elections if the TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu gave a letter to the Centre on Telangana and their remarks that as the ensuing elections were only by-elections and Naidu would not become the chief minister by winning them, Narsi Reddy has questioned if Telangana could be

achieved if the TRS won these seats. He also asked the TRS leaders why the party could not achieve Telangana when the people elected 12 of their representatives in the earlier by-elections and made all their opponents even forfeit their deposits. He has alleged that of the 12 elected MLAs, TRS had sold off three in the MLC elections.

The TNSF leader said that the family members of martyrs, who had campaigned for the TRS, were given worthless cheques by the TRS, “though the party had collected huge funds in the name of the martyrs”. TRS leaders had even attacked the families of the martyrs, he alleged. He said that while people had sacrificed, TRS leaders were enjoying the fruits.

Referring to the statements of TRS leaders that all those who contest in the by-elections were traitors, Narsi Reddy reminded that the same leaders had alleged that TDP had helped the Congress when it did not put up a candidate.

Referring to the statement of Telangana Political JAC convener Prof. Kodandaram that the Telangana spirit would be weakened if all the parties contested the by-elections, he said that if that was so, how both the BJP and TRS were contesting in the ensuing by-polls. He said that it was strange that Kodandaram who could not control two parties (TRS and BJP) was trying to preach morals to the TDP.

Stating that no one was bothering about Kodandaram, Narsi Reddy has claimed that thousands of farmers had attended Naidu’s Rythu Poru Bata, though he had asked them not to attend. He said that it now became amply evident that it was the TRS and Kodandaram who were traitors of Telangana. He said that people were ready to teach both a lesson in the ensuing elections.
