Hyderabad, Feb 4: Asking the Telangana Congress MLAs as to why they kept silent on Telangana issue, Congress MLC K Yadava Reddy has said that they might have been influenced by someone to keep mum on Telangana issue.
Speaking to the media at the CLP office here on Saturday, Yadava Reddy said that he failed to understand as to why the Telangana Congress MLAs were maintaining silence on Telangana issue. He opined that all the MLAs from Telangana region, irrespective of political affiliations, must raise their voice on Telangana during the Assembly budget session.
Alleging that Council Chairman Dr A Chakrapani selected inexperienced and innocent MLCs as members of various Committees, Yadava Reddy said that he tendered his resignation to the membership of Council’s Ethics Committee. He complained that the selectors did not even consider the suggestions of the Chief Whip and insulted the senior members. The selectors also committed a mistake by selecting innocent and inexperienced MLCs as members.
It may be mentioned here that senior MLCs K R Amos and Kanukula Janardhan Reddy have already tendered their resignations to Council panel posts.
